“They over exaggerate about me sometimes, that’s like going too far,” NBA YoungBoy stated during a Complex interview.

NBA YoungBoy speaks with Complex about Michael Jackson comparisons + more.
YoungBoy Never Broke Again, the latest Complex cover star, disagrees with those who compare him to the late Michael Jackson.
During an interview with Jordan Rose on Tuesday (Jan. 20), which can be accessed in full here, the Slime Cry artist was questioned about being labeled as the MJ of this generation, particularly in relation to a past Complex video featuring the RIAA-awarded rapper.
“You gotta think about my age, bro,” YoungBoy said before being reminded that he and Complex's interviewer, Jordan, are the same age.
“I don't know anything about no Michael Jackson,” he added.
YoungBoy's 2019 song “Dirty Iyanna,” which samples the King of Pop's “Dirty Diana,” was brought up. However, YoungBoy resisted any comparisons of his own fame to that of Michael Jackson.
“I know, but I don’t understand the stardom,” he said. “I don’t understand the power.”
Ultimately, he chalked up such talk as an example of over-exaggeration.
“That’s going too far,” YB added.
