Offset has admitted to his part in the deterioration of his marriage to Cardi B and publicly confessed that he “messed up”

During an open conversation with Ebro, Offset contemplated his shortcomings amidst the strained relationship with his estranged wife, Cardi B, saying: “I f*cked up… I gotta acknowledge that and then get back on the journey… I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen.”

As previously reported, Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset. According to TMZ, the divorce has been in the works for some time. After nearly 7 years of marriage, a source indicates, “it’s been a long time in coming.” The source states, “they’re just disconnected from each other.” 

In December, Cardi shared that she and Offset had ended their relationship. During an Instagram live session, Cardi discussed the current state of her relationship with the father of her three children.

“I’ve been single for a minute now. I just [didn’t] know how to tell the world,” Cardi expressed.

During the ongoing divorce, Offset submitted a revised response earlier this month, seeking spousal support from Cardi B. While the filing does not mention a specific amount, it represents a notable change in their divorce process, which previously appeared amicable concerning financial issues. Offset’s request is said to be due to the significant difference in their net worths—Cardi B’s estimated between $80–100 million and Offset’s approximately $30 million. 

Besides requesting spousal support, Offset is also pursuing joint custody of their three children, with Cardi B’s home set as their main residence. Despite the legal intricacies, both parties have consented to pay their legal expenses.
