Snoop Dogg to help with NBCUniversal’s coverage of Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
The West Coast legend reportedly joining NBC's coverage team for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
NBC hires Snoop Dogg for 2024 Olympics in Paris is a major win.
It was announced on Monday (Jan. 1), Snoop Dogg kicked off the new year with a major announcement. The Doggfather shared a post on Instagram that shows him dancing in front of a CGI background of the Eiffel Tower to his 1993 track "Tha Shiznit." He captioned the post, "New year mood. Paris 2024 Olympics. C u this summer Official." He also tagged NBC in the post.
Snoop Dogg has signed on to be a part of Peacock's primetime coverage of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. According to USA Today, Snoop will "explore iconic Parisian landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and get a chance to talk with all the Olympics athletes."
“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” said Snoop Dogg in a statement. “We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. NBC's vice president of Olympic production Molly Solomon said that Snoop's commentating on dressage at the Tokyo Olympics had gone viral and "earned Snoop a job as our Special Correspondent in Paris."
"We don't know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our re-imagined Olympic primetime show," VP of Olympic said.
