This past Saturday night, Chris Rock made history returned to the spotlight with the premiere of his live comedy special, Chris Rock: Selective Outrage at Netflix, which dropped a week before this year’s Academy Awards is due to take place.
On Thursday (March 8), reported by Entertainment Tonight, the Bad Boys actor Will Smith was left “embarrassed and hurt” over Chris Rock’s comments in his latest Netflix special which reignited the controversy, according to a new report.
“He didn’t watch it, but he had people tell him what Rock said,” the insider went on, adding that “Will and Jada (Pinkett Smith) have seen comments about it.”
“Will apologized to Chris and would like for Chris to let it go,” the source added.
Smith reportedly feels Netflix made a “distasteful” move airing Rock’s special.
The insider went on to tell the publication that Rock’s decision to rehash the scandal in his Netflix show had nothing to do with seeking revenge.
