T-Pain says he's made millions writing for country Artists, but he doesn't want the “credit” due to racism: “I'll Just Take The Check”


The singer has recently shed light on racism in country music.

T-Pain explained why he'd rather take the check for writing country songs without credited.


Nappy Boy Gamer says he stopped taking credit for country songs he's written due to the racism that comes after it.


The legendary Tallahassee, Fla., native and Grammy Award-winning artist ━ T-Pain known for popularizing Auto-Tune, has revealed via on Twitch this week, that he stopped taking credit as writer/composer in Country music because of racism.


“Good music is good music idgaf “, T-Pain said. “Where it come from or what style it come in all the people, I know like feel like. It's not cool to listen to other genres of music. Country music is where I get. All my harmonies country and gospel music that's where all my harmonies come from, I done wrote alotta country songs stopped taking. credit for it because as cool as it is to see your name in those credits and stuff like that the racism! That comes after it. It just like... I'll just take the check.”


T-Pain laughed it off by saying, “Don't put me on that sh*t. I'll just take the check bro nevermind dude”.
