The WNBA is holding itâs annual draft on Friday night and it started with an emotional moment when commissioner Cathy Engelbert kicked off the draft with three honorary picks â Alyssa Altobelli, Payton Chester, and Gianna Bryant, who were all killed in a tragic helicopter crash last January.
Gianna Bryant, Payton Chester and Alyssa Altobelli were all posthumously named honorary WNBA draft picks following last January's fatal helicopter crash that killed nine people including Kobe Bryant.
