Young Thug Expresses 'disappointment' in Gunna: 'Why Haven't You Explained Yourself to Me?'

In a recent interview on the Big Facts Network / Perspektives with Bank, Young Thug stated he has not been releasing music since his release from jail because he feels betrayed by his "twin," Gunna. 

“Gunna, you my brother. I love you to death… Why you ain’t gave me an explanation?” Thug asked, making it clear that accountability — even if painful — was what he expected.

During the emotional interview, Thug discussed his feelings regarding the YSL RICO case and Gunna's Alford plea deal. “You signing that one piece of paper, signing your initials, could get me a life sentence,” Thug stated.

Thugga believes Gunna's decision to accept a plea deal could have severely impacted his own case, potentially leading to a life sentence. Gunna's plea deal involved admitting that YSL was a gang, which many viewed as cooperation with authorities.

He expressed his devastation over the apparent betrayal, lamenting the end of his close friendship with Gunna. He stated that in jail he thought he hated Gunna, but that his feelings have evolved, and he no longer wishes him any "ill will".

Young Thug also voiced disappointment that Gunna never provided him with an explanation for his actions. 

In December 2022, Gunna accepted an Alford plea, resulting in his release from prison, and he has refuted claims of cooperating with prosecutors.
