50 Cent is creating a new true-crime series titled “Gang Wars” for A&E, which delves into notorious gang rivalries.

The upcoming A&E project comes after the Fifty's-produced documentary, "Sean Combs: The Reckoning," which was released last year.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is starting the new year by teaming up with A&E for his latest endeavor, a true-crime series called Gang Wars.
Gang Wars is a raw true-crime series that delves into America’s notorious gang rivalries, offering unparalleled access and unheard stories — revealing the street conflicts, betrayals, and power struggles that shaped our contemporary criminal landscape.
The rapper-producer announced the news on Tuesday evening, simply stating in an Instagram post: “Gang Wars coming soon A&E I got some heat.” 50 Cent also shared a screenshot of an article by Parade, which cites a report by Deadline that Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television and Jonah Bekhor and Jonas Bell Pasht’s Citizen Jones are working together on the upcoming project.
Deadline characterizes the series as an “unfiltered” look into “America’s most infamous gang rivalries with unprecedented access and never-before-heard accounts.” A release date for the series has yet to be revealed.
The announcement follows closely after the release of 'Sean Combs: The Reckoning', a four-part documentary launched in December about the imprisoned music mogul, executive produced by Jackson. Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, the series streamed on Netflix and explored Combs’ life and career, his achievements in the music industry, and how abuse allegations made by his ex, Cassie, resulted in a wave of accusations and a criminal trial that led to Combs’ imprisonment.
Combs has threatened legal action against Netflix for broadcasting the docuseries in a cease-and-desist letter that alleged The Reckoning included “stolen footage.”
In a statement, Janice Combs, Combs' mother, stated that the docuseries included “inaccuracies” and was “intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation.”
The G-Unit mogul has also backed recent docs TikTok Star Murders and The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets for Peacock, and Hip Hop Homicides for WE TV.
