Clipse: Malice speaks on finding his parents deceased; he had to break the news to all his family members

Clipse released Let God Sort Em Out last Friday. It marked Pusha T and Malice’s first album together since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.
Malice: “I found both of my parents.... I discovered both of my parents going in to check on them.”
The Clipse' have discussed the impact of their parents' deaths on their lives and their music, particularly on their recent Clipse album "Let God Sort Em Out." Pusha T has spoken about the importance of legacy in the face of this loss, saying that he wants his son to be able to look at his legacy and see his accomplishments.
Malice has also spoken about the profound impact of finding his father deceased, describing a sense of peace that came over him in that moment on "Cover Lines," a podcast that is owned by Brian "B.Dot" Miller, also known as "bdotTM." The brothers also shared experiences of their final conversations with their mother, with Pusha T reflecting on not listening to her fully before her passing.
Their mother, Mildred Thornton, died in November 2021, and their father, Gene Elliott Thornton Sr., passed away in March 2022.
Clipse also opened up about their deceased parent during their Breakfast Club interview. Around the 12-minute mark, Pusha T and Malice talk about having a great relationship with their parents and being present for them both. Malice also highlighted to the world those who have dysfunctional family members. "You really should try to fix that," Malice said.
Clipse dropped Let God Sort Em Out as their first album since 2009's Til the Casket Drops on Friday. The project features collaborations with Ab-Liva, John Legend, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Stove God Cooks, The-Dream, Tyler the Creator. Additionally, Pharrell produced all 13 tracks.
