DMX’s first posthumous album Exodus is here.
The tracklist features a roster of A-list artists, including The Lox, Swizz Beatz, Jay-Z, Nas, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Moneybagg Yo, and more. The album, which shares its name with X’s son Exodus Simmons, is the rapper’s eighth album, and his first on Def Jam since 2003’s in 18 years, following 2003’s Grand Champ.
DMX originally teased a feature with late New York drill pioneer Pop Smoke, Swizz said Pop’s verse ended up being used elswhere; Swizz said he tapped Moneybagg Yo for a new verse, and that was the only part of the album DMX did not hear before his death.
The Hip-Hop Icon Earl "DMX" Simmons died in April 9 after suffering a heart attack. He was 50.
