It's Official: Jamie Foxx confirms that he will portray Mike Tyson in an upcoming biopic
The project has been in development for six years, but now Foxx, 52, looks ready to get into the ring and start filming, as he showed off his newly bulked-up frame on Thursday, during an episode of Catching Up with Mark Birnbaum on Instagram.
Back in 2014, Tyson, 53, confirmed that Foxx would be playing him in a film and would be using CGI to help him portray the heavyweight at various stages of his life and career.
Foxx teased some of the details of the film, saying he hopes to depict the "different lives" of the boxing legend. "We want to show, everybody evolves," Foxx said. "I think when we lay the layers on Mike Tyson in this story, I think everybody from young and old will be able to understand this man's journey."
