‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ Trailer Brings Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett Back to Miami

On Tuesday (March 26), Sony Pictures released the official trailer for “Bad Boys 4,” starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The film’s official title is “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.”

This is the fourth film in the popular action-comedy franchise that debuted in 1995, when Smith and Lawrence first teamed up as Miami PD detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, who investigate illegal drug trading in Miami.

In the final trailer of Bad Boys: Ride or Die includes grit, intense shootouts, high-speed chases, and, most importantly, a ton of humor. Smith and Lawrence's performances in these films have always provided a chemistry and witty banter, and Bad Boys: Ride or Die seems no different.

The first two films were directed by Michael Bay, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directed “Bad Boys for Life” and are returning for this latest installment of the “Bad Boys” franchise. Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, Eric Dane, Paola Núñez, Rhea Seehorn, Tasha Smith and Ioan Gruffudd also star.

“Bad Boys 4” is set to be released in theaters June 7. Watch the trailer below.

The “Bad Boys” franchise started back in 1995. The first film was Michael Bay’s debut feature and one of the last movies that Don Simpson would produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer before dying in 1996.

Bay returned for the sequel, “Bad Boys II” in 2003. The third film, “Bad Boys for Life,” was released in early 2020 and was one of the last movies to get a wide release before the pandemic forced movie theaters to shut down. The third film was directed by Belgian filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who have returned for “Bad Boys Ride or Die.”

Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig and Paola Núñez return after being introduced in the third movie, alongside newcomers Eric Dane playing the villain, Ioan Gruffudd and Rhea Seehorn. Also: Tasha Smith replaces Theresa Randle, who has played Lawrence’s wife in the three previous movies.

Written by Chris Bremner, “Bad Boys Ride or Die” destroys large portions of Miami’s infrastructure beginning on June 7.
