There have been rumors that Kanye is waiting to release DONDA until Drake drops Certified Lover Boy. But Drake seems to dismiss the notion that he is going to move CLB‘s release date because of Ye.
Leading to a sales battle akin to Kanye West and 50 Cent's head-to-head when they put out Graduation and Curtis, respectively, on the same day in 2007. It wouldn't be far-fetched considering Drake and 'Ye's egos and past issues.

Hours after the song was released, Kanye via Instagram to share a screenshot of a text message he sent to a thread with eight people on it. Before sending his message, the rapper added Pusha-T.
Kanye sent a photo of Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker. He then said, "I live for this. I've been f--ked with by nerd ass jock n---as like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you."
After the song dropped, Kanye's collaborator Consequence came to Ye's defense and called out Drake for the “disrespect.”
“Fuck a betrayal,” Consequence shared in response. “It’s the disrespect for me dawg. Wit Trippie Redd shotgun. Respect my team. It’s party time.”
The rap rivals have been at odds for years after Drake accused Ye of fueling his beef with Pusha T by giving him the intel about his son Adonis, which he used on his 2018 diss “The Story of Adidon.”
Back in July, Con tweeted about Drake’s Certified Lover Boy release date with some fans suspecting he was implying Ye would drop the stadium-built upcoming Donda on the same day as Drizzy's
