Cardi B teases Saudi Arabia show: “I Follow All the Rules... I Dont Like Alcohol!”

Cardi B is presently in Saudi Arabia to perform at the grand Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh (Dec 11-13, 2025). Before her performance, she has been posting videos humorously reassuring fans and authorities that she will adhere to all local regulations, especially concerning alcohol, and has expressed enthusiasm for shopping and duty-free perks, aligning with Saudi Arabia's efforts to establish itself as a global entertainment hub.

During an Instagram Live session on Wednesday (Dec. 10), ahead of her trip to Riyadh for the music festival, the Am I the Drama? rapper humorously mentioned the idea of portraying herself as an ideal, rule-abiding guest.

"I like everything duty free, tax free, discount free,” Cardi B said at the 6:46 mark in the video linked here while talking about her shopping plans upon arrival.

Let me tell you something, Saudi Arabia,” Card said. “I like discounts. I like duty free. I like tax free. I like gifts. I like shopping. I like everything."

Cardi then changed direction and joked, "I don't like alcohol. I don't like nothing. I don't like none of that … I follow all the rules. I am a good woman."

Cardi continued listing things she supposedly avoids: "I don't like cigarettes. I don't like weed. I don't like hookah. I don't like nothing. I don't like any of that stuff. I don't like nothing."

She ended the joke by pointing to her outfit and saying, "I'm all covered up. You see? See? Nothing. And if y'all want, I'll put gloves on. And I got socks. You can't even see my ankles."

As reported by Bloomberg, Saudi Arabia has recently eased restrictions on alcohol sales, permitting non-Muslim foreign residents who earn at least $13,300 monthly to buy alcohol. This adjustment aims to enhance Riyadh's competitiveness in attracting businesses and investment.

Although tobacco products are regulated in the country, cannabis remains completely illegal in Saudi Arabia. As stated by LeafWell, the consequences for possessing cannabis for personal use “could earn imprisonment for up to six months, potentially with whippings for first offenses.”

Cardi's performance at the Soundstorm Festival is scheduled for Saturday, December 13.
