The Game responded back with his own list, Complex’s Best LA Rappers, by calling it “Nasty Work.”
After being ranked at No. 11 by Complex’s Best LA Rappers List The Game, known for his outspoken persona and deep-rooted ties to West Coast hip-hop, shared an upset reaction to Complex’s new list, ranking “The 50 Best LA Rappers of All Time.”
The Game was ranked number 11 by a roster of journalists and influencers. Naturally, Game felt he should have been ranked higher based on skill alone.
“Game at 11 is nasty work…,” Game via wrote. “I’ll break that whole list, ass!”
On Sunday (June 1), the “Hate It Or Love It” rapper created his own list of the best LA rappers of all time in light of his placement on Complex Music.
The Game’s list featured some of the most influential names in the industry, showcasing his personal favorites and those he believed deserved more recognition. He emphasized the importance of legacy and impact, asserting that true talent should shine through regardless of rankings.
