Tory Lanez Responds To Cassidy After Being Accused Of Stealing His Flows
Tory Lanez recently stopped by Hot 97 this week to deliver a five-minute freestyle over Cassidy’s classic “I’m a Hustla,” but the man behind the original song couldn’t help but notice some similarities to one of his old freestyles. And it wasn’t the first instance, either.
The Philly rapper made the same accusation against Tory years ago so this has been an ongoing thing.
Cassidy took to Instagram on Wednesday night (July 21) to share a 60-second clip.
“I'm A Hustle” rapper shared a video of the freestyles side by side, Cassidy writes via Instagram, “I’m @torylanez favorite rapper #RNS Ain’t no denying that [eyeball #GoatGang [goat emoji] Show me the respect I deserve &#LetsGetToThisChicken [money emoji] #BARSisBack #DaEnergy [lightning emoji].”
Hours later! Tory Lanez shot back and seemed confused why Cassidy is so bothered.
"U are one of my favorite rappers Cass," writes Tory. "What's the problem?" He added another comment shortly thereafter, in which his tone was less than impressed. "I guess this is what happens when you try to pay homage," he writes. "The first freestyle I shouted ya name out because you did inspire me. The second one I went on YOUR beat. Shit is sad how you old n***as be mad at the young n***as for not showing love then when we do...we get responses like this."
