50 Cent to produce New Podcast on DMX’s Rise featuring Jadakiss

Jadakiss to host new DMX podcast series executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is producing a podcast about DMX’s origin story, with Jadakiss as the host.

50Cent is executive producing a new narrative podcast about the late DMX, titled "Look Thru My Eyes: Becoming DMX", which will be hosted by Jadakiss. The series, produced in collaboration with Narratively and iHeartPodcasts, focuses on DMX’s early life and rise in Yonkers, NY.

The series will include personal stories, archival content, and narratives from people who knew DMX before he became famous.

According to Deadline, Hosted by Jadakiss, the series will transport listeners to a period before DMX became a global name, focusing on Earl Simmons as a young, exceptionally talented artist striving, competing, and enduring in Yonkers, New York. Throughout the first season, family members, childhood friends, collaborators, rivals, and cultural icons will provide personal, firsthand insights into DMX’s early years.

The podcast is expected to be released later in 2026.

The project plans start with DMX, with subsequent seasons concentrating on the origin stories of other prominent artists.

“DMX’s story is bigger than the music — it’s about survival, faith, pain, and purpose,” 50 Cent said. “Look Thru My Eyes: Becoming DMX gives people a chance to understand where X came from, before the fame, through the voices of the people who were really there. This is the story that shaped the legend.”

Executive producers Bruce Miller and Justin Baez, both natives of Yonkers like DMX and Jadakiss, have strong personal connections to DMX and his family. A release for the projects highlights how Miller and Baez's "personal ties to the city — and DMX's influence on it — anchor the series in the community that shaped him well before his rise to fame."

“DMX’s story is inseparable from Yonkers, and his legacy is the lifeblood of hip hop,” Miller noted.
