‘Bad Boys 4’ Action-Packed Release Date Set for 2024
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return to theaters on Father’s Day weekend.
Deadline reported, on Friday (July 28), that the fourth installment of the super-successful franchise co-starring Martin Lawrence will drop on Father’s Day weekend in 2024, with a projected release date of June 14, 2024
The cast will include returning stars from ‘Bad Boys for Life’ — Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Paola Núñez, as well as newcomers Rhea Seehorn, Eric Dane, and Ioan Gruffudd.
The directing team of Adil & Bilal, who spearheaded “Bad Boys 3,” are back in the director’s chair.
Bad Boys 4, which will reunite Miami cops of course Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, will come out on Father's Day weekend. Over four years after the third installment ‘Bad Boys for Life’, made more than $426 million at the worldwide box office; with a domestic four-day opening of $73M.
Bad Boys 2 premiered in 2003, eight years after the 1995 original, and Bad Boys for Life came out seventeen years after its predecessor.
Last month, the air were spotted filming one of the movie's high-octane action scenes, and were decked out in full tactical police gear, complete with body armor and prop assault rifles.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were all business as they shot the scene that was reportedly set at the Gatorland amusement park in Orlando, Florida.
Smith and Lawrence first revealed Bad Boys 4 was in the works in January in a video Smith posted to Instagram.
The actors confirmed the news on Instagram, with Smith uploading a video of him driving to Lawrence’s home’s while listening to Nelly, P. Diddy and Murphy Lee’s Bad Boys II soundtrack cut “Shake Ya Tailfeather.” The comedic visual sees the pair reunite once more and even joke about how they should have used their slogan, “Bad boys for life,” for the upcoming movie rather than its 2020 predecessor.
