Dame Dash files major defamation lawsuit against Cam’ron, Cam responds by stating he plans to file a countersuit

Damon Dash has filed a $300 million defamation lawsuit against his former Harlem friend Cam’ron,

Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon "Dame" Dash filed a $300 million defamation lawsuit against rapper Cam'ron on September 19, 2025. The lawsuit alleges that Cam'ron has repeatedly made false claims online that damaged Dash's reputation, interfered with his business deals, and harassed his family.

In the midst of the "Paid In Full" television series alongside 50 Cent, legal action has been taken following a history of public disagreements between the two, which escalated after Dash appeared on The Breakfast Club earlier in September 2025.

In his suit, Dash claims that Cam'ron has been intentionally sabotaging his business interests, including cannabis and clothing ventures, for which Dash is demanding a share of the profits.

The lawsuit also alleges that Cam'ron made humiliating and false statements about Dash's partner, Raquel Horn, and family finances, causing emotional distress.

Dash stated on Instagram that he chose legal action over violence to resolve the issue, famously comparing his strategy to The Godfather. He warned that if Cam'ron has any houses in his name, they would "end up mine".

Lawsuit demands and counter-suit

In addition to monetary damages, Dash's legal demands include: 

• A cease-and-desist to stop Cam'ron's public criticisms.

• The removal of all defamatory social media posts.

• A public apology from Cam'ron. 

In response, Cam'ron posted his own comment, calling the suit "ChatGPT" and suggesting he would file a countersuit.

Cam also shared a picture he and 50 Cent seemingly laughing at the situation.
